“El Choclo” by Ángel D’Agostino y su Orquesta Típica with Ángel Vargas in vocals, 1941.

El Choclo, Argentine Tango music sheet cover.

Juan Carlos Marambio Catán

Singer, lyricist, composer and actor (30 July 1895 – 15 February 1973)

Of all Marambio Catán’s activities it is impossible to omit his contribution as author.

Because of that he is remembered today, in a dictum that is not unfair, but it is indeed not thoroughly thought over when all his fame in this sense is based in the memory of three or four pieces.

“Acquaforte” with music by Horacio Pettorossi, his most widely known creation which was a hit in the songbooks of Gardel and Magaldi was born in Europe.

Let us add the lyrics of several tangos which became famous in their instrumental versions, such as “El monito”, “Buen amigo” or “El choclo”.

Roberto Flores, Argentine Tango singer.

Roberto Flores

Singer and composer (July 29, 1907 – November 9, 1981)

1937, when he was summoned by the bandoneonist and orchestra leader Enrique Rodríguez.

The team Rodríquez-Flores, during the four years that they stayed together, succeeded in becoming a tremendous boom, either because of the following they drew at their appearances or as well for the commercial success of their recordings.

During his tenure in the aggregation, between 1937 and 1939, El Chato recorded thirty-five numbers of the thirty-six that the orchestra recorded.

This demonstrates the importance reached by the singer.

Osvaldo Fresedo & Ricardo Ruiz, Argentine Tango conductor and singer.

Ricardo Ruiz

(July 28, 1914 – April 20, 1976)

His tenor range, his intonation and his delicate way of saying were virtues that maestro Osvaldo Fresedo took into consideration to summon him.

He and Ray became the two vocalists most representative of Fresedo. No other one was capable of displacing them.

This tenure lasted nearly three years and recorded 28 numbers more, among which stand out the beautiful tango  “Rosarina linda”.

What is the problem we solve?

Provide a reason, a goal, to your life.

“Formula for our happiness: a Yes, a No, a straight line, a goal.” F. Nietzsche, “The Anti-Christ”, chapter 1.

Why we do it better than anyone else?

Because we live in such way. We exemplify it. We are Tango.

You want to “thrive”. What is the cost of doing so?

What resources do you need to put to play?

How about your own body, your persona, your character… You do not need more, besides to incorporate the “knowhow” from expert Maestro/a.

Domingo Rullo

Bandoneonist. lyricist and composer (July 26, 1920 – November 27, 2001)

When Rullo was five years old, for the first time, he saw a bandoneon in the hands of a «famous» character who had arrived in town.

That well-known player was no less than Juan Maglio Pacho.

From that moment on, that instrument was his life passion.

At age eight, he moved to the city of Rosario to study with another «famous» man of Rosario, Juan Rezzano.

In March 1941, his appearance was no less than at the Chantecler cabaret.

The mâitre was a Cuban guy named Ángel Sánchez Carreño, but he was known as Príncipe Cubano.

The latter wrote the lyrics for his best-known tango: “Seamos amigos”.
