Argentine Tango School

"Ya no cantas chingolo" by Enrique Rodríguez y su Orquesta Típica with Armando Moreno in vocals, 1943.

Chingolo, bird of Argentina and Uruguay regions.

Antonio Scatasso

Bandoneonist, leader and composer (28 February 1886 - 29 July 1956)

Mandolin, guitar and bandoneon were the instruments that this Italian born in Naples played, but his activity was focused on orchestra leading and composing music.

Everybody agrees about his privileged memory, and his great facility to remember any kind of music.

He was a picturesque figure of the theater milieu, he achieved smash hits because he didn't lack good taste and a fine intuition to create pleasant melodies.

Among his main titles is "Ya no cantas chingolo".
